2023-2024

The Art of Living Well Assistant | Kisco: Crestavilla | Laguna Niguel

Highlights: Created a podcast to interview residents and collect community stories.

Initiated, hosted, published, and edited a groundbreaking podcast dedicated to the senior living community. Developed and executed the podcast concept from inception to production, showcasing expertise in communication skills and project management. Responsible for marketing the podcast to residents, content creation, guest interviews, and post-production editing and publishing. Implemented strategic marketing efforts resulting in increased engagement and community outreach.

Established and led a weekly Armchair Travel day, where I designed the calendar, schedule, and dasily routine. I collaborated with the kitchen to coordinate culturally relevant food experiences and enlisted the support of staff members from countries on our itinerary to co-host and enhance the cultural exchange for our residents.

Managed Assistant Living classes, events, and excursions for up to 160 retired senior residents. In Memory Care (Dementia: Alzheimer's), I conduct tailored activities such as music therapy, art therapy, seasonal/Holiday crafts, games, puzzles, karaoke, and cognitive practice and learning for a group of up to 30 residents, twice a week.

2022-2023

Service Administrator | Avanti Restaurant Solutions | Costa Mesa

Highlights: Found errors in shipping quantities while creating warranty manuals which, once addressed, saved time, money, and delays in project installation dates and grand opening dates.

Coordinates business-to-business (B2B) service calls from chain and contract restaurants to manufacturers and service agents. Tracks the progress of service repairs daily - calls and emails for updates, facilitating warranty repair services from start to finish. Creates weekly reports for each chain or contract team to report the status of each service call with questions, movement, and information needed to complete the process.

  • Manages all Avanti service requests for all customers (B2B)
  • Monitors sales and small purchase orders for delivery (B2C)
  • Coordinates information from customers and vendors through calls and emails, following up daily - until the repair is complete
  • Updates Project Advisors and Managers on service status and parts ordering / shipping /delivering

Highlight: Designed the Queer Literature course and advocated for Ethnic Lit and Queer Lit to be requirements instead of electives.

  • Taught in-person and online: asynchronous and synchronous - 16 and 6- week semesters.
  • I adapted my 16-week course schedule and lesson plans to a 6-week summer course with exactly 7 days to adapt.
  • Canvas and Zoom are the learning management systems and programs that I used
  • Outlook and Microsoft Teams were also components of our evaluation process and English Department communication
  • Collaborated with Ethnic and Queer Literature professors and professors from other departments to create an LGBTQ+ Space on campus
  • Mentored for two (2) years in the Puente program
  • Directed embedded tutors from the same Supplemental Instruction program I was a leader in for 3 semesters and a mentor in for 3 semesters (6 semesters: 2015-2018).

2021-2022 

Health and Transgender Services Coordinator | LGBTQ Center OC |Santa Ana, CA

Highlight: 100+ attendees at “Transgender Day of Visibility: Uplift & Thrift,”: FREE chest binder closet, glam closet, hosted makeup workshops, and had FREE boba. Coordinated donations from corporate sponsors: Boba Guys, Charlotte Tilbury, Vans, and Hot Topic. Check out @TransitionsOC on Instagram.

  • Coordinated events: Trans Pride (300 guests), Trans Day of Visibility (100 guests), Trans Day of Remembrance, and Friendsgiving (100 volunteers; 350+ meals served to those experiencing homelessness)
  • Chaired the center’s bi-weekly Trans Committee meetings for event planning, volunteer engagement, and internship experience. I had 5 officers and about 10-15 consistent members that I managed for event planning and fundraising purposes.
  • Led monthly Trans Orientations and Name and Gender Marker Change Clinics in partnership with the mental health department the UCI Gender and Diversity Center, Health Center, and Legal Students assisting 30+ name/gender marker change each month. 


2018-2020

Mentor and Leader/English Tutor | Cypress College | Cypress, CA

Highlight: Trained and hired other tutors in collaboration with my Success Center Coordinators (supervisors). 

  • In my 10 years of tutoring experience, here and from previous positions, I tutored English Composition, Anthropology, and college-level papers from all disciplines.
  • At the desk, I managed schedules of up to 10 tutors at a time, tutees as they arrived, and drop-ins as availability opened.
  • I worked with peers to design workshops, find a campus location available, and scheduled the day, time, and resources needed for the event – including the promotion of the workshops.
  • Kept student records and maintaining a space that kept our students’ confidentiality in mind. The desk was also an information desk for parts of the library assisting students to other areas and rooms or, often, events held on campus in the library.

BA in English with a minor in Anthropology; AA in English. I studied abroad at the Universidad de Sevilla, Spain. I was a Queer Peer Mentor to first-year students in the Diversity Initiatives Resource Center LGBTQ program.
